Coffee Talk with Angela Gregory of Contemporary Productions

WC: Can you please explain what Contemporary Productions does?

AG: Contemporary Productions is a producer of events for public, private, civic and corporate clients. Our services include but are not limited to turn-key event management, entertainment booking, venue rental, theme development, creative design, room layout and technical production.

WC: Can you give us a brief history of Contemporary Productions?

AG: For forty years Contemporary has provided the highest quality entertainment and events to audiences worldwide in venues from ballrooms to ballparks. Our intent in the wedding market is to deliver perfect and memorable moments for our clients.

WC: How can Contemporary Productions help the planning couple?

AG: As a wedding planner I assume the role of coordinator and accept responsibilities from the bride and groom for anything from invitation design and mailing to wedding ceremomies to wedding receptions and everything in between. I delight in taking everything I can off the plates of the bride and groom and their families, all the while respecting them as the decision makers.

WC: Do you work with couples with a specific budget?

AG: Absolutely! That is always a consideration before I begin suggesting wedding elements. The last thing a wedding planner wants to do is suggest something really wonderful to a couple for which they have not budgeted and see that look of disappointment on their faces.

If there is something in particular that a bride and groom want within a certain budget, I use every effort to find a way to make it happen.

WC: What is one of your favorite Contemporary Productions wedding moments?

AG: I cannot choose just ONE. Every bride and groom is special to me! Every success that I can deliver within a wedding event becomes a memory to me because ultimately it is making memories for the happy couple and their families and friends.

WC: Does Contemporary productions work outside of the St. Louis area?

AG: Again, absolutely!

WC: Based on your years of experience in the wedding industry, what advice would you give to a planning bride and groom?

AG: Take the advice you have paid your wedding consultant to give you. The years of experience a wedding planner brings to you will be the final ingredient in what will turn out to be a happy and memorable day in your history together.
