A European Engagement

I was studying abroad in France and met a guy from our group named Adam. We instantly became inseperable. Most of the group stayed in Europe to travel around after the studying part was over and we ended up going to Nice together.

One night, he said that we had plans and I asked him what they were and he wouldn't tell me. When I asked him what I should wear, he said, "Wear this," as he pulled out a dress that he had bought for me. I put on the dress and we walked down the street to the Chantecler restaurant in the Negresco hotel. We had an eleven course meal and afterwards, he had a cab waiting outside for us. We drove up the coast to a bar that had an amazing view of the coastline. He had a table set up out on the balcony with a bottle of Dom Perignon champagne and flowers.Then he got down on one knee and said, "I know we haven't known each other that long, but every time I'm with you all I can think about is when I will see you again. Even when I am not with you, you're all I think about. You would make me the happiest man in the world if you would agree to be my wife. Will you marry me?" Then he pulled out the box with the ring in it.

As is turns out, his teacher let him skip class one day and he had gone to Tiffany & Co in Paris and gotten my ring. Anyway, I said yes and eleven months later, we got married! We have now been married a little over 2 months and everything is wonderful. Our wedding cake even looked like the Eiffel Tower!!
